Doodling is a great way to dispel bad moods, is it not? I have many doodles stored in a carton, each started with a single themeless mere stroke or a swirl. They really are therapeutic — and as individual as handwriting. Perhaps to include some in a blog?
It really is magic, I find, it’s wonderful, it’s the way I hold on to what thin strand of sanity I have left in this crazy evil world!! Writing is my first love but art has always been my go to for real escape and calm. I too have tons of stuff hanging around and I love, love looking at other people’s..I’d love to see some of yours, if you ever feel like sharing but I know they can be very personal things. Thanks so much for commenting, I’m trying to pick up my blog again, rather than once a blue moon!!
A therapy to keep those thin strands from breaking in this quite crazy and evil world. I am going to digitize several and give them wings. Actually, writing and sketching are creatively akin, they convey alternative worlds.
Yes, comments are important, they really are.
I hope you might share some??
They are closely connected, but when I’m really wanting to escape, the release from all thought and pressure and stress is more easily achieved if I get away from words and allow the images to just come, to quiet the mind and the chatter; that’s how it starts, at least, but then I often find as I draw, images can lead back to words again, inspiring ideas, stories, so it’s all part of the something that wants to be expressed.
