This is a great animal sanctuary in Norfolk, here in the UK. They care for thousands of animals, they are amazing, and in a recent newsletter there was this piece about two recently rescued horses and it was so moving and beautifully expressed, I wanted to share it. I wish so many more people could feel this way.
(I hope it is okay to read, as I had to photograph it, as my scanner isn’t working, not as good but hopefully readable!!)

All this needs is enlarging and it reads just fine. People can do a “command +” to make the page bigger, repeat as often as necessary, “command -” to go back to normal. Anyhow, I read it and it brought tears to my eyes, and seeing that foal’s sweet face, and her “problem” leg, really got to me. I’m so glad they get to live at Hillside along with all the others. I’ve known about Hillside for years, they’re a wonderful sanctuary. Thanks for sharing this.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. It made me well up as well, that’s why I wanted to share it, it was expressed so beautifully and movingly. They are a wonderful sanctuary, so grateful there are places like that in this world of horrors!! I don’t know how I’ve missed your blog so far, but have followed now, you have some great posts, just got lost browsing, I have so many comments to catch up on other people’s wonderful posts too, that’s the trouble, I come on to do something and get lost in other people’s posts!!
I know! You come online to do something specific and get totally sidetracked about a hundred times, then (I at least) forget what you came in for. I need to keep notes. Or just stay off the web? But then I’d miss out on great people like you. Found you through Peter Schreiner’s blog, another great one. Thanks for all you do, on or off the web.
I know, me too, I’ve just done it again tonight!! Yeah, Peter’s blog’s so good, he keeps me going!! I feel bad for not giving my blog more time, but I’ve been too preoccupied with other creative work, but I’m hoping to give it an overhaul and post more work. It’s good to connect with people who are on the same level. Thanks for your kind comments anyway. We all just do what we can do, in a world of overwhelm!
