Because I care, I’m a threat.
Because I get upset, I’m extreme.
Because I love, I go too far.
Because I see the truth, I’m trouble.
Because I live from my heart, I’m provocative.
Because I want peace, I’m aggressive.
Because I am passionate, I am offensive.
Because I want freedom, I’m a terrorist.
Because I want good, I’m bad.
Because I want to save, I’m a sinner.
Because I want to help, I’m a villain.
Because I want change, I’m a bully.
Because I want to scream, I must be silenced.
So the world spins backwards,
and all the good turns bad,
while the real threats laugh
behind your backs
dragging all
closer to oblivion.
‘Homo rapiens is only one of very many species, and not obviously worth preserving. Later or sooner, it will become extinct. When it is gone the Earth will recover. Long after the last traces of the human animal have disappeared, many of the species it is bent on destroying will still be around, along with others that have yet to spring up. The earth will forget mankind. The play of life will go on.’ John Gray.
So powerfully, poetically spoken of rock-solid, undeniable truth. Excellent.
Thank you, this just came out from the constant, utter frustration at how backwards the world is and the inability of people to see the madness, worse, to go along with it.
I agree with Peter 100%. Excellent.
Thanks, it is pure frustration and anger at wrong-mindedness of people. Of everything being backwards. It gets to me so, so much.
Thank you for each line of “Losing Ground.” They ring with a resounding peal to signal that truth be spoken here. Apparently this planet has already suffered five extinction events, and arrival of arrogant, atrocious self-righteous evolutants ever proclaim themselves a god-granted “stewardship” over all others.
From Swift’s Gulliver:
“I cannot but conclude the bulk of your natives to be the most pernicious race of little odious vermin that nature ever suffered to crawl upon the surface of the earth.”
Voyage to Brobdingnag, Ch. 6″
I so appreciate the kindred spirits I encounter here 🙂
Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment. I’m so glad it connected with you, that means a lot to me.
I too have found a great comfort in the ‘kindred spirits’ I have found on here, it helps, it really does, when the world is too much with me.
And thanks for the quote, perfect,so very, very apt for the crazy world we see spinning out of control.
